In a short amount of time, we will review your brand and communications, your impact measurement, monitoring and evaluation, and the impact story you are telling right now.

How it works
- A 45 minutes initial consultation
We’ll dig into the challenges you face in understanding and communicating your impact and identify where you need support, from how you’re gathering data to producing case studies.
- A confirmation of your brief
We’ll send you an email with a description of the brief to make sure we understand your needs and get you to confirm you’d like to go ahead. Then we’ll set up a simple contract and ask you to send any relevant documents for us to review.
- A review of your impact measurement and storytelling
We’ll review any publicly available information about your organisation’s impact, such as annual reports, website content, or case studies. You have the option to share additional documents that provide deeper insights into your impact measurement and storytelling practices.
- A bespoke Impact Measurement and Storytelling Audit report
You’ll get an in-depth report which will give you a clear understanding of where your impact measurement storytelling practices are strong, where there’s room for improvement and how to implement changes. We’ll share a personalised roadmap to enhance your impact measurement, management and storytelling. We’ll signpost you to tools and resources to help you implement the recommendations.
- A one-hour debrief
This is your chance to discuss our findings. Although we share lots of tools and practical advice in the report, you may want to discuss how to implement the recommendations. If you need extra help, we’re always happy to help with:
- Developing a theory of change
- Setting up an impact framework
- Improving brand positioning, including tone of voice, key messages and visuals
- Producing powerful written or video case studies
Who we are
The Impact Measurement and Storytelling Audits are delivered in a partnership between Stephen Miller and Charlotte Cassedanne.
We met ten years ago when we worked at Power to Change, a trust that supports community businesses. Now we’re bringing our complimentary skills together to run impact measurement and storytelling audits, and help more organisations gain support, and make change happen. We work collaboratively, flexibly and keep your organisational secrets confidential.
Charlotte Cassedanne is a freelance creative and strategic communications expert, helping organisations make the world a better place. She has over 15 years of experience bringing impactful stories to life through campaigns, and memorable content such as podcasts, websites, films and case studies. Recent clients include worldwide tech accountability campaign organisation Digital Action, place-based funder Local Trust, and global membership charity World Cities Culture Forum.
Stephen Miller is an independent research consultant, bringing over 18 years experience working in the new economy. He was previously Director of Delivery and Impact at Power to Change, having also held senior roles at Design Council and UnLtd – the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs.

How long will it take?
Depending on your capacity, we usually complete an impact measurement and storytelling audit in two weeks, from initial conversation to report and debrief. We know purpose-led organisations want change yesterday.
How much will it cost?
One-off option
Our one-off impact storytelling audit costs £2220, and we’re not VAT registered. You’ll get our combined experience of 33 years, an honest and helpful assessment, and a chance to ask questions about how to implement the recommendations in practice.
Subscription option
If you would like us to review your impact measurement and storytelling progress twice a year after that, you can subscribe for £100 a month. This means you can ask us to carry out an updated audit when it suits you, and we can share further insight on how to improve your impact measurement and storytelling practice and processes. We’ll provide further guidance and advice, sense check your progress and signpost to additional resources and recent case studies from similar organisations.
